Our mission is to provide meals for the poor, those with disabilities, seniors, and the unhoused who are experiencing food insecurity. We provide nourishment through kindness and a nurturing ministry.
Saint Jude, also known as Judas Thaddaeus, was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and is venerated as the patron saint of hopeless causes and desperate situations.
In New Orleans, over 62,000 people face hunger on any given day
With your continued support, St. Jude Outreach can offer hope in desperate times while working collaboratively with community partners to not only provide food but also services that encourage self-sufficiency.

How You Can Help
St. Jude’s most urgent need is to keep our food pantry and freezer full to ensure we can feed those in need, as we never want to turn anyone away. There are ways the community can help:
- Donating bulk, non-perishable food items
- Donating to St. Jude Outreach so we can purchase groceries
- Attending our annual fundraiser
Area Grocers
If you find yourself with perishable items that are nearing their expiration date, St. Jude Outreach would greatly appreciate your donation. We would be more than happy to coordinate a pick-up for these items.
St. Jude is undergoing a $12M renovation sponsored by START Corp. to better help the people of New Orleans.
St. Jude Outreach is also an active community partner of START Corporation. Working together under one roof, we aim to not only nourish those in need but also provide comprehensive social services that promote opportunities and foster self-sufficiency.
